My husband and I started training with Lee 3 or 4 ? years ago, we both wanted to increase our fitness level, and lose a bit of weight without having to huff and puff in a sweaty gym! To be honest Lee is much more than just a personal trainer, he is an all round 'well-being' booster.
We both endure old sports injuries which flare up and prohibit any jumping or running style exercises, yet Lee has still successfully managed to get us fitter, happier and healthier through strength, weights and low impact cardio exercises. He expertly changes the routine each week, keeps meticulous records and helps strengthen the weak sports to address the issues rather than exacerbate them. I'm not a gym bunny, in fact the thought of going to one makes me feel quite ill, but I look forward to Lee's sessions each week, it's as much a feel-good therapy and a giggle as it is a blast of exercise!

I have been fitness training with Lee for around 2 and half years now and honestly wondered to myself why I had not invested in personal training sooner.
Before commissioning Lee I had been on and off training in gym and getting marginal results, not fully understand what I should be doing next and how, which of course led to me falling off of the rails and giving up, which became an un-ending and painful cycle. All I wanted to achieve was to feel healthy and have more energy and most of all just to feel happy in my own skin.
Having someone to keep me accountable, guide me on the next steps, help me to identify and ultimately realise my goals has allowed me to remain on track for all of this time and consistently reap the benefits at every stage. The realisation of occasionally having hiccups that get in the way of training and learning how to deal with them has also been a pivotal part of that journey.
I am now fitter, stronger, healthier and happier than I have ever been and don't regret in taking that step forwards with Lee.
Lee's approach is calm, friendly and empathetic, he embraces the fact that everyone is different and nobody is perfect, that we have moments when we cannot be at our best and that life happens. For me this is helpful, because the calm approach helps me to associate training with positive feelings and thoughts and not a potential negative experience of failure.
Lee encourages at every stage and always takes the time to identify even the smallest of wins and the impact it has had. He is obviously very observant and likes to point out improvements wherever they manifest themselves, which is a great motivator to continue forwards.
I would without question recommend Thrive to anyone and I personally will be continuing to train with Thrive for as long as Lee continues to offer his services.
