I have been having regular soft tissue therapy with Lee for a while now. I originally went to him to relieve back pain and have continued to have massage with him for various sports injuries.
Lee takes the time to find out the full history of my pain and uses his wealth of knowledge to adapt the massage accordingly. As a result he has helped me get back to playing sport pain free. I would not hesitate to recommending him and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I split my time in retirement between living in Bristol and time in the mountains. Every old man should have access to someone like Lee! I like doing my exercise outside and Lee is happy taking me for a run and stretching me a bit. He is definitely a thinker and has some great ideas about pain and recovery from injury. He is super good at anatomy and explaining how to strengthen bits of my ageing body. I have learnt a lot from him. I injured my shoulder climbing last autumn. We spent the winter on graduated strengthening exercises and it seems to be holding up so far!

Fitness is a priority for me, but work and family life can be incredibly busy at times, meaning consistently getting to the gym can be a challenge. However, I have trained consistently with Lee for over 6 years and cannot speak more highly of him.
Lee is a total professional, and exceptionally knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition, rehab, and recovery. He knows exactly how to tailor our work-outs, based on where I am mentally and physically, keeping records of my progress.
Our sessions are balanced, incorporating all kinds of cardio-based movements, resistance training, and core strengthening. He pushes me to the limit when necessary and understands when to ease off, but most importantly after our sessions, I feel motivated and energised. “

I have been a client of Lee for many years, often having massages on a weekly basis. I used to visit Lee in the personal training centre, but during lockdown I purchased my own massage table and now enjoy regular home visits.

My life always seems to be busy but working with Lee at Thrive means that I have an appointment with structured exercise each week. I find it incredible how productive that hour is. Despite phases, where I have not done as much other exercises as I should, I am far fitter and stronger than I was before I had Lee as my personal trainer.
The biggest difference between Lee and other personal trainers is how knowledgeable he is about anatomy and the way the body works; he has helped me nip in the bud a few musculo-skeletal issues that I suspect could have become longer term problems otherwise. For example, he was able to identify why I had a persistently achy shoulder and helped me strengthen the right muscles in that area whilst avoiding things that might have exacerbated it. I believe training with Lee is the most effective thing I am doing to fight off the effects of getting older.
Probably the most important thing about Lee’s approach though is that he makes it fun. He is the sort of person that anyone would get along with and makes training sessions enjoyable. The sessions are different every week and never get dull. That is what has kept me going over the last 6 years and hopefully many more to come.
